During my passing out parade at Police College Ikeja on the 21st of December 2012, i made a pledge to God that whoever comes my way for help, either known or unknown to me, I won't hesitate to render. It happened on the 18th of December 2016 at Aremo area of Ibadan in Oyo State where i was on stop & search, I saw this vehicle coming towards where I was posted, I stopped it and asked the driver to bring his vehicle particulars, the man paused for some minutes and the next thing I saw was tears from his eyes.

I asked what happened to him, he replied that "Officer, the vehicle particulars has expired since 2014 and since then, i was unable to renew it due to my financial breakdown, as you can see sir, i'm a Master holder from University of Ibadan but I couldn't find a lucrative job yet but I'm still struggling on how to survive with my wife and three kids. Presently, I have an interview at British America Tobacco company and that's where I'm rushing to before you intercepted me sir" I couldn't bear it also i started crying with him too, i gave him back his vehicle particulars and told him to go so that he can meet up without any hindrance.

I even gave him N1000 to buy more fuel in his car, he insisted of collecting my mobile contact which i gave him. Since then, I haven't heard from him and i've even forgotten about the issue but to my surprise today being the 23rd of January 2018 at about 1605hours, my phone rang and i picked, i replied with my succulent voice and asked who am i speaking with, he said "i'm (Mr............) a man you helped sometimes ago".

I couldn't pick on time until he narrated how the whole scenario went and i screamed with joyous mood. He said "Egbon, i'm coming to see you in office now" I told him i'm no more in Ibadan and suddenly his voice changed, I told him that we will still meet as God liveth. He said " i've gotten that job from BAT and I'm so happy because you facilitated it that very day with your prayers and the humanitarians acts you showed to me and I'm here to show a little sign of appreciation.

Egbon, please send your bank account number with immediate effect" Lo & behold, i sent it to him and within a twinkle of an eye, I was alerted the money that is more than the monthly salary i'm earning!!! LESSON: Regardless of what position you find yourself today, do good to your fellow being always because no one knows tomorrow.
